MTL YA FEST! is the first young adult book festival in Montreal.

Our goal is to connect teens with their favourite authors in a fun & safe environment.
This includes panels, Q&As, games, etc.

Parking near the festival location is limited to street parking. We recommend arriving early.
Public transit methods include the Cote-Ste-Catherine stop on the Orange Line of the metro, and the 129 Cote-Ste-Catherine STM route. We are also within walking distance of the 17 Decarie STM route, and the 161 Van Horne STM route.

MTL YA FEST is being held at the Gelber Event Hall, which is a kosher venue. Because of this, we will be supplying snacks and lunch that comply with the Gelber Event Hall's kosher requirements. Should you require a special menu, we ask that you contact us ahead of time in order to make accommodations. Outdoor food must be consumed in the dedicated area in the lobby of the building where cafe tables are set up upon entrance. We appreciate your adherence to this requirement, as the event can be shut down for failure to comply.
The Jewish Public Library (JPL) is a community library in one of the most ethnically diverse neighbourhoods in Canada, operating for over 100 years in five official languages.
The Norman Berman Children’s Library (NBCL) division of the JPL has been a leader in library programming in Montreal for the past 35 years, having pioneered story-times and music programs for infants and preschoolers that have impacted a generation of kids and their families, and has more recently developed innovative, creative and educational programs for school-aged children. The “Girls’ Night Out” program for tween and teen girls and their mothers has been running successfully since 2004, with popular female authors like Sarah Mlynowski, Sarah Dessen, Gayle Forman and many more brought in each year to inspire and enlighten young girls.
